Child carseat safety event to be held May 11 in Westlake

On Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force will hold a free child safety seat event at Pinederosa Park, located at 2901 Westwood Road (LA Highway 378) in Westlake.

Air Force Airman Douglas C. Theriot Jr. graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
