Mayor Chris Duncan has announced that water service will be interrupted on Tuesday, May 14 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Ruth Street from I-10 South to the corporate limits.

The City of Lake Charles has announced plans for the 15th annual Downtown at Sundown concert series. The series will be held on Ryan Street between Division and Pujo Streets on four consecutive Fridays beginning May 17. From 3 to 10 p.m. each Friday, those city blocks will be closed to vehicle traffic for the event.

Sulphur PD announces four arrests

The following is a news release from the Sulphur Police Department:

The Sulphur Police Department has reported that from May 3-6 officers of the department investigated eight traffic accidents reporting no injuries and issued twenty-six traffic citations.

Officers also responded to several other incidents resulting in four arrests:

Gilbert Leandro Sanchez, a White Male, 28, of Houston, Texas, was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for disturbing the peace.
