Anti-bullying club enters national contest

An anti-bullying club in Lake Charles entered a national contest to raise awareness of anti-bullying efforts in their schools and in the surrounding area.

Students With Anti-bullying Goals, or SWAG, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven is a club that puts positive change in the hands of youth.

SWAG recently submitted its student-produced video in a national contest called the Catholic Mutual’s Safety in the Schools Contest. The contest gives a winning school an innovative way to earn money while making the school a safer place by raising awareness about bullying.

SWAG hopes to win the $10,000 grand prize and use the money to promote safety in their school and in other local schools.

The winning school will be announced later this month.
