E-books important to readers | Arts & Culture
The following is a request from your public library.
The Calcasieu Parish Public Library strives to supply content to readers in all formats, how, when, and where they want it. Some publishers are imposing restrictions regarding selling e-books to libraries.
We need to let them know how much readers value having access to e-books through the public library!
Nationwide, libraries are asking library users to please sign the online petition at http://ebooksforlibraries.com/(There is a nice short video there also explaining why this is important.)
The more people who sign, the more notice we will get. Wouldn't it be great if every library user signed the petition?
