UPS and United Way partner to "Drive Out Hunger"
United Way of SWLA and UPS are partnering together to help “Drive Out Hunger” in SWLA. All residents in SWLA are invited to help collect and drop off non-perishable food items to help out.
Collection begins March 26th and will go through March 30th. Research shows that 1 in 8 people in Louisiana are struggling with hunger, and with your help we can address this crucial issue.
The following are the drop off locations in the different parishes participating:
- Allen: Market Basket – 707 1st Avenue in Kinder
- Beauregard: Wal-Mart – 1125 N. Pine Street in DeRidder
- Calcasieu: United Way of Southwest Louisiana – 715 Ryan Street in Lake Charles
- Cameron: Browns Food Stores – 620 Main Street in Hackberry and 10051 Gulf Highway in Grand Lake
- Jeff Davis: Jeff Davis Bank (Main Branch) – 507 N. Main St. in Jennings
