Local girl scouts seek help for trip to the nation’s Capitol
About 70 girls from Southwest Louisiana raised $400 per person to go on a trip to the nation's Capitol. Now their bus provider wants an extra $4,000 to cover increases in fuel charges.
If they cancel they will lose $13,000 in penalties due to the trip being less than 30 days away.
Anyone who would like to make a donation is asked to make their check payable to girl scouts and send it to Mary Stelly at 131 w. Dunbar Ave., Opelousas, LA 70570.
