There was a famous author at Epps Memorial Library in Lake Charles on Thursday, May 2.
Eric Jerome Dickey has written novels for close to two decades.
He was in town on Thursday to read excerpts from his new book, “Decadence,” the story of a woman trying to live independently in a “man’s world.”
Following the reading, there was a question and answer session where fans asked about not only “Decadence” but his many other books.
Dickey said the best part about his job is that he feels as if he isn’t working at all.
“I haven't felt like I’ve had a job since the early 90s because I get up every day and do what I enjoy doing, and I get paid for it,” he said.
Dickey also signed books for his fans.
