Marcia "Lynn" Denison, first runner up, teaches at J.I. Watson Middle School. She was not present at the meeting to accept the award. Superintendent Wayne Savoy accepted the award for her.

Storey-Garrett teaches at Sam Houston High School. Storey-Garrett was unable to attend the CPSB meeting to accept the award. The principal of Sam Houston accepted the award for her.

Bomney teaches at LaGrange High School. She is also the regional winner.
